Since the heat in the infrared oil heater is not transmitted via the air but via light waves, wind has no influence on the heat output, which makes the IRO 15 also ideal as targeted heating in rooms sensitive to draughts.

Effective targeted heat with light waves Like other direct oil heaters, the IRO 15 can also be fired with diesel, which is often cheaper than with gas or electricity. In contrast to direct-fired heaters, the heat generated by the IRO 15 is not released directly into the air, but used to heat the radiant plate. While the fan cools the ceramic insulation chamber from outside with sucked-in air, air is supplied to the burner with the help of the integrated fan and injected into the combustion chamber with the fuel sucked from the tank under high pressure and burned with maximum heat development. This heats up the radiant plate in such a way that it emits targeted infrared heat. Similar to the heat of the sun's rays, the infrared radiation of the IRO 15 heats the irradiated bodies and objects directly without heat loss: only the objects that are hit by the rays are heated, the air in between has no effect. Unlike the sun, the infrared radiation of the IRO 15 is not harmful to humans because there is no UV radiation. In addition, the radiant heat is transferred directly from the device to the irradiated body, which is why an efficiency of almost 100% can be achieved with this technology.
